That is a question that gives me much pause for this is now my rank / title.
Obviously an individual gets to this point only after many years of training (That is if matters are correct) and called to (not asked for) because of ability and activity proven over much time and many tests, but is that the end, the culmination? Should there then be resting on ones laurels and say that the mountain has been climbed?
Would that not be an exercise in stagnation and result in futility?
The true mountain never end’s, it is always in front of me and always will be as long as I live. So, I choose to continue to learn and climb and grow to the best of my ability. I see no point otherwise. Since I am now almost 61 years young, investigating M.M.A. would not be a wise move on my part. So I need look elsewhere for meaningful study – so I will try to follow the natural path as I see it.
For to justify my Rank to myself I must continue to grow so I can offer and deliver more, for with further Rank comes further responsability.
AT THIS POINT - I must thank Master Vladimir Pijov the last direct active member of the original Blacktown School and present President of S.K.A.
Without whom I would not be in the position I am.
Vladimir has taught me much over the years and mentored me through dark days and fine.
Without Vladimir's support and direction I and others would not have been able to continue and Australia's oldest School would have died.
My master, my Giri to you is immense.
